Plantar fasciitis is a disorder that causes pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. Sometimes referred to as “jogger’s heel,” this type of disorder is the most common cause of feel pain. Plantar fasciitis involves pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia. This runs across the bottom of your foot and connects the bone from your heel to your toes.

 Sometimes this type of pain results from overuse of your feet, typically experienced by joggers or athletes. This can be treated with a variety of solutions designed to reduce your pain.
